The design challenge of the Seashell table begins with the innovative use of concrete for the base. Traditionally associated with heaviness and solidity, concrete is rethought to be light yet strong. The soft, sinuous forms of the base draw inspiration from seashells, which with their curves and ribs generate structural solidity despite the fragility of the material. This approach transforms concrete into a new formal and functional language, making the Seashell table a unique, sophisticated design piece.
